Banned Books Week!

Posted: August 27, 2012 in Uncategorized

On September 30 – October 6, libraries across the nation will celebrate Banned Books Week, a time to recognize our freedom to read without censorship.

To prepare for this week, the library will show the film version of Breaking Dawn, part of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga, on Thursday, September 24 at 5:30 p.m. The novel Breaking Dawn has been the target of censorship; parents have challenged this book’s place in school libraries across the country. Come watch the movie and celebrate your right to form your own opinion about the story.
